Department of Social Work is established in 2009, to meet the specialized needs of the society by producing professional, skilled social workers who will act as a catalyst in the national development. The Department offers autonomous program of Ganpat University in the field of Social Work. The Department was established under the excellent leadership and guidance of the first Vice Chancellor of Ganpat University in 2009.
- What are the eligibility criteria for admission in the program?
Graduates from any discipline can get admission in the program. And final year students can apply for the same.
- What are the selection criteria for MSW program?
There is no any formality. Any graduate can take admission till admission open.
- Which will be the commencement date of classes?
Usually session start from the first week of July 2023 classes will be commenced.

After MSW program students get job in various sectors like Human Resource Manager in Industries, Field Worker and Project Associates/Managers in NGOs, Government and Social Enterprise.
- How many days in a week are scheduled for the field work?
Students will have to go to the field work 45 days in a semester.
- Which other facilities do you provide?
The Department Library has a rich collection of books, periodicals and study material in the areas of Social Work, CSR, Human Resource Management and Social Entrepreneurship same can be utilized by students. Well equipped computer lab with free internet facility for the students for making field work reports, presentations, assignment, dissertations. Travelling facility from Mehsana to University at affordable cost at the time of arrival and departure.
